The Victorian Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning is seeking comments on the proposed Planning and Environment Regulations 2015 (Proposed Regulations).

magazineflat_946x662The Proposed Regulations have been prepared following feedback on the operation of the existing Planning and Environment Regulations 2005 (Planning Regulations).  The Planning Regulations deal mainly with technical and administrative matters relating to planning procedures established by the Act. The regulations detail what responsible authorities, planning authorities, referral authorities, applicants and others need to do when carrying out certain steps in those procedures.

The Department is seeking public comment on the proposed changes. You can submit your comments by Friday, 27 March 2015, using the online submission form.

Following the submission period the department will consider all submissions and determine whether changes should be made to the Proposed Regulations before submitting the final proposed regulations to the Minister for Planning for approval. Subject to the Minister's approval, new regulations will be submitted to the Governor in Council to be made.

More information about the Proposed Regulations is available here.
